Minister Dr. Ismail Shafeeu has attended the Education World Forum 2024 held in London from 19th to 22nd May 2024. EWF is the largest annual gathering of Ministers of Education, Higher Education, and Skills. The conference comprises plenary sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities that provide a platform for the leaders to discuss about education policies and how to tackle challenges faced by the education systems around the world.
The theme of EWF2024 was “Encouraging AI understanding, Building human relationships and resilience, and accelerating climate action. How should we prioritise policy and implementation for Stronger, Bolder, Better, Education?”
During the EWF, Minister participated in a keynote plenary where he delivered a speech about the plenary session focused on shaping learning and teaching practice to improve well-being and resilience, to optimize contribution of AI in education and to keep the focus on learning. The minister also spoke about the development of AI in the coming 5 years and how it will impact education systems and practice.
Minister of State for Education, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed also represented Maldives in this forum along with the Minister.
