Minister Dr. Ismail Shafeeu attended the opening ceremony of Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (KIX) Maldives National Uptake Forum 2024 as the chief guest.
During his remarks at the ceremony, Minister highlighted that KIX EMAP hub has been an important actor in the Maldives education sector and has contributed to research, enhanced innovation and knowledge within the Maldivian academia and with the international partners.
The KIX Maldives National Uptake Forum aims to share KIX work in the Maldives with key stakeholders, strengthen connections between KIX and the ongoing GPE initiatives, and to create opportunities to strengthen the relationship between KIX & with key institutions in the Maldives.
KIX is a joint endeavour between GPE & the International Development Research Centre to connect expertise, innovation, and knowledge to support GPE partner countries in building stronger education systems and accelerating progress towards SDG 4.
This forum was attended by more than 50 participamts, including representatives from the Ministry of Education, key public and private education institutions (including Coordinating Agency, LEG members and civil society participants) and the KIX research projects in Maldives.
The forum was organised in partnership with the MoE & Villa College.
